Back again

It's been almost two weeks since my lay off. I've applied to quite a few places since my last day at work, but haven't been able to land anything just yet. I'm not stressing about it just yet though. It's given me a chance to get out and take pictures again. I took my bike to the beach the other day rode around for a bit.

I found this girl doing a photo shoot just as I was heading back to the car.

The Friday Report

It's a slow go here at the office today. Playing around with my desk decorations and 'shopping is all I have to keep me awake at this point. Glad it's Friday.

Birthday Time!

It's time to sing Happy Birthday to the one person capable of making me want to stick needles in my eyes one minute and turn me into a bucket full of gayness* the next.

Happy Birthday, you crazy Cuban. Love you tons.

It's been a long day

Can today be any longer? Fuck, man! This is killing me!

Another shot from this weekend's parade. I messed around with the lomo-style of finishing with this image. Not quite right but I like the way the colors came out.

I tried to do it with this one too, but I think I like the volkswagen shot better.

Found a new toy

It would work if I were able to find film for it. Unfortunately, it's been discontinued and I can't find a single source that'll help me track it down. It'll just have to sit on my desk as a collection piece for the time being.

It's a Polaroid Land Camera, model 95-B and it was produced from 1959 to 1963.
I'm still waiting to get the adapter so I can use my other vintage cameras. Sprocket Hole Revolution, don't let me down.

The Parade of the Elves

Drove down to South Miami on Sunday to watch the Parad of the Elves. It was nothing spectacular, but parades and other public functions are a great chance for me to take shots of people. Here's a few of them.

I'm not sure if this used to be the Hot Wheels buggy or if it's a different one. I worked at Hot Wheels for about a year or two before deciding I had really didn't care for skating all that much. That and annoying kids and tweens.

Speaking of miniature people...
These were actually cute and well behaved.

And no parade would be complete without a crowned Ms. Something. There she is... Ms. Cuban American...

And of course I could not pass up the chance to take a picture with Ronald McDonald. I stopped him as he was walking down the parade route.

Weak Ink

I've been thinking of covering my lame ass tattoo with something a little more aesthetically pleasing. I saw this girl the other day and she was covered in tattoos. They weren't all great, but I liked that she had full sleeves. Awesome!
