Because it's funny

So I had a little down time at work and found this site. I see people like this all the time and I think this site has captured exactly how I feel about them.

I took this pic when I was at Grand Central Station in NY. The girls where saying good-bye to each other.

Halloween

It was a fun time until Cris' car was burglarized. They jimmied the car and took my camera bag with two lenses, my point and shoot, my car and house keys and her wallet. The good thing (I'm trying to keep a positive attitude here) is that her car wasn't damaged and she had the good foresight to take all her credit cards out of her wallet.
Now that the headache is gone, I can look at the pictures I took and remember that I was having a good time.

Mario and Princess Peach.

Princess Peach and... Robin?

Went to a gallery before heading out to the party. Caught Lady Gaga flirting with death. That little slut! Death, not Lady Gaga... I don't know her that well.

And speaking of strange things... I always knew there was a reason I liked him. He's part of the Rebel Alliace!!

Speaking of Shows... Star Wars: In Concert

I went to see this last night and it was awesome! I had no idea it was going on until Cris told me about it and bought the tickets. I wasn't able to take any good pictures, but I was able to sneak a few videos.

On with the show

After thinking about it for a bit, I decided to keep this experiment of mine. It forces me to keep shooting and working on the pictures. I've learned a few field and Photoshop tricks since I started it. So, as long as there is something interesting to photograph, the show will go on.

Speaking of shows, I took this shot of this girl outside one of the theaters in NY. We were on our way to see Wicked and it was cool to see all the signs lit up as we walked past.

I still haven't mastered the art of shooting at night.

And one more shot looking down the street. I still haven't gotten around to working on all the shots I took while I was there, so I'll be posting a mix of old and new images.

In la-la-land

I love finding people who are so engrossed in an activity that they block out whatever's happening around them. We all do it everyday, at least once a day, so it's interesting to see what you potentially look like while you're off in your own head where no one can reach you.

I took this one in Central Park.

And this one on Lincoln Road.

Slacking

I haven't had much time to keep up with this little project and I'm starting to wonder if I should let it go or not. I haven't found anything interesting since I got back from the NY trip, so here are a few more shots.

I saw this girl hanging out with her green Chucks and I thought I'd snap a shot of it. I like that you can see her reluctantly waiting for her friend as she looks at the vendor's bags. Her left foot gives away her discomfort.

This guy was charging for letting people take a picture with 'an authentic checkered cab'. Gotta make a buck somehow, I guess.

I took this on our way to the MET. Lots of people walking around and the fresh smell of horse poop from the carriages lined up on the other side of the street.
